There's a bag.

How did it get here? Who does it belong to? What can we tell about it?
"It is like Paddington's suitcase."

"It looks old because it is all scratched and banged up"
"It has been made by stitching it, that's not how they make bags now, they have wheels and handles."
"It has an F and N on the front."
"That might stand for someone's name."

Should we open it? Unanimous decision. Yes! But put protective gloves on just in case.

A lantern. "It looks very old, maybe from an old war so they could see in the dark."
"Maybe this is a soldiers bag."
A long skirt. "So we know FN must be a lady."
A letter! From a lady called Florence.
"That is the same as the letters on the bag!"
Charlie and Tiegan have heard of the name Florence Nightingale, perhaps that is our owner.
She is leaving her family to travel by boat to a hospital. There is a war. She wants to be a nurse!
The letter is dated October 1854. We work it out, it is 162 years ago.
A map. "There are places on it, France, England, Italy, Turkey, Scutari, Crimea and Russia."
"Maybe that is where she went for the war."
  A hat. "It's a maids hat."
"No its a nurses hat."
 A sash. "It's like a mayor wears."
The sash reminds Jude of a mayors sash and he models this sash to show us. But this one says Scutari.
An apron. "so when she is doing operations she doesn't get blood."
A shawl. "It will be cold where she went." "They might fight for a long time she might be there a long time."
A blouse. "It is a whole nurse uniform from long ago."
Autumn helped Lauren dress into the clothes.
Willow helped Lauren with the shawl.
And the sash, hat and finally the lamp.
 All dressed up.
Just like a lady called Florence who went away to be a nurse in a war. She was around 162 years ago.
I wonder what we will discover next!
