Poems.

We made lists of adjectives in red, adverbs in blue and verbs in green all about a beach.
We then used these to create a poem. We had to use 2 adjectives, 3 adverbs and 4 verbs.
This is the poem we created together

BEACH
Golden and gritty.
Eagerly, excitedly and carefully.
Searching, hunting, collecting. Building.

We then had a go at writing our own.

Helping the tourist centre.

We got a letter through the post from the Tourist Information Centre of Struay.
Luckily we had been on a virtual visit to Struay only last week so we were able to jot down all the things we did into a list.
Then we set to work making our leaflets for Mr McDougal. We had to make sure the leaflet had a big, bold, bright front cover and included information on things to do and things to see.

We hope Mr McDougal will like them because we do.

Struay views and seascapes.

We drew views of the island and made pictures of them, then we painted warm skies. Also we looked at pictures by a man called JMW Turner. He was famous for painting the sea. So we tried to do paintings like him as well.

Island map.

We made a map of our own island, we put on it some mountains, meadows, woodland, sea, beaches, rivers, hills and a boggy loch. These are all physical features.
We also added human features.
