Day trip

Our class went for a virtual visit to London yesterday! We travelled down on the train and enjoyed seeing the countryside speeding past the window.
When we arrived we could go off exploring on our own! One group went on an open top bus and saw all the sights. Another group went on a boat trip down the River Thames and went under Tower Bridge.  A third group walked up The Mall and saw Grenadier Guards with their tall, furry hats.
We had to meet back at Buckingham Palace as the Queen had invited us all to lunch.
Some of us went on the London Eye, the view from the top was amazing. The river looked like a shiny, silver snake.
We had to wait here as a tall ship needed to pass beneath this bridge.
This building is where the Mayor works. It looks like a wood louse.
We thought about popping in to the Houses of Parliament to see David Cameron.
We all met back here at Buckingham Palace to see the Queen, she was very pretty and even wore one of her crowns.

Our day ended up here! We wonder why. What ever is it for?
