Norfolk Show

The RAF parachute team dropped down on the Norfolk show ground just as we arrived which was rather special.
Then we all got busy shaking milk to make butter, it took quite a little while and was nearly too hot but we managed and had a little taste.
One of the best things was holding day old Turkey chicks. Some of the group were having doubts about next Christmas dinner! It certainly made us think about the food we eat.
These little chicks will be ready for eating in four and a half months.
They were so soft and delicate we had to be really gentle.
We enjoyed seeing all the animals, including the cows and bulls which were huge, the pigs, there were so many different sorts and colours and the sheep and goats.

Several of us spent a bit of our money on an ice cream but as it was so hot they melted very quickly and we ended up with more ice cream on our hands and faces than in our tummies!

We loved looking round the tent at all the rabbits, guinea pigs ducks and fancy hens. Some had very funny Pom-poms on their heads and huge fluffy feet.

Finally most of us spent £1 and made a candle which was lovely.
By then our day was nearly up and we trudged back to the coaches feeling tired, hot and happy.
