Beanstalks!

At this rate we will be climbing up this beanstalk to see a giant in a castle.

Darcie and Douglas at Centre Parks.

Douglas and Darcie had a lovely long weekend at Centre Parks.

They spent time indoors doing craft activities when it was raining. Douglas helped Darcie paint a clay model dog and make a mosaic. 

They had fun playing pool.

They all had a good time on a bike ride and because they couldn't get any wetter went for a fun swim.

Marigold conclusion.

Two weeks have now passed since we put our Marigolds in their different conditions. We were correct with most of our predictions but Number 3 surprised us as it still looks quite healthy, but it's roots are not as strong as Number 1. We might leave it in the cupboard for another week to see what it does. Number 1 is big and healthy with thick strong roots.

Marigold investigation

Our 4 Marigold plants have been in their different conditions for five days now and are beginning to show signs of change. Number 2 is definitely looking the worst.

Bean root shoots!

The beans in our bean root viewer are sending out long roots in search of water and have now sent stems with leaves shooting up to the light.

We made a Bean Root Viewer so we can watch how the roots travel in search of water. They started off tiny, then looked like little rat tails then they grew extra hairs.
