Tiger Poems

The children were asked to write and illustrate a poem for their homework. Here are the finished results of some of the children.

Because the children worked on their poems at home they have each had a different idea on how to present them. All are very different but each looks super and adds to the overall effect.

Tiger Facts

To finish our work on tigers we had to produce a fact sheet. It had to include certain things.

These are our finished Fact Sheets. We worked in pairs and had lots of important decisions to make and agree on when we chose the styles and colours of our writing. Selecting photos from the Internet and inserting them in place was also quite tricky. 

Tiger topic

We have learnt so much during our tiger topic. 

We have found out about their life cycle, habitat, dangers and threats. 

Investigating changes.

We were investigating whether some changes are reversible or irreversible. We were heating different foods.  We used bread, egg, chocolate and butter.

We had a tray with sand in and a candle.

We had to hold a spoon with food in over the candle to see what happened to it.

Butter.

Egg.

Bread.

Chocolate button.

Some melted, some went hard and some went black and crunchy.

We then left them to see if they turned back to how they used to be. The butter and chocolate went hard again, but the egg didn't go runny and the bread didn't go soft.
