What a fabulous day we had yesterday at Banham Zoo. The weather was good to us and the threatened rain never showed up. Here are the memories of Douglas and one group of Squirrels. Thank you to our staff and parent helpers for enabling each group to have such a memorable day.
The zebra walked over to join our photo and the llamas were keen to join us too.
Probably a bit chilly for these Australian chaps.
We couldn't believe it when we saw the tiger lying on his back with his paws up like your pet cat or dog!
Just in time for a snack, anyone for sardines?
Mr Meerkat checking all is safe and well.
Thank you tigers, we loved seeing you.

Grouping for multiplication
We grouped objects into sets of 2, 5 or 10. Then we wrote number sentences to show what we had done.

Winter
We had a discussion about the seasons. We talked about how we would describe winter to an alien. We thought of adjectives, verbs and adverbs to help our descriptions. Using the words we created winter poems. Later we made winter pictures.
