Little School Mouse
We wrote letters asking Little Mouse about himself then we used our imagination to answer the questions. Using the answers we then put the information into a poem. We decided that a poem was the best words in the best places. It didn't matter whether it rhymed or not but we liked using alliteration and similes where we could. We chose to write about where he lived, what he ate, his appearance and what he did when school was empty.
Little School Mouse
He sleeps in socks and jumpers left
behind,
Cosy, snuggly and warm inside,
Safe and hidden from charging
children,
Peering down from high above.
Left-overs and crumbs from messy
lunchboxes,
Delicious cakes from birthday treats,
A pile of mice struggling at the
water fountain,
Eating fruit from the snack boxes.
His eyes are as blue as a glittering
sky,
Fur as white as snow,
Twitchy whiskers like spider’s legs,
Creeping and scurrying on his pink
sharp claws.
Playing on Mrs K’s laptop, jumping on
the keys,
Racing down the corridor in a tiny
toy car,
Scrunched up paper ball for a family
football match,
Running and hiding, playing It and
exploring the school.

Douglas and Chloe
Douglas had fun playing with all the toys in Chloe's toy box, I hope he helped tidy them up again.
Riding a bike was a new experience for Douglas and he loved zooming around the garden.
Douglas is enjoying going to Rainbows and likes seeing what the different packs do. He really likes the uniform and is looking forward to earning his first badge!
After such a busy evening Douglas was exhausted. Luckily he has his sleeping bag in his travel bag so was ready for his sleepover with Chloe. Let's hope he's not too tired at school tomorrow.
