"Please Mrs Bradford..."
We would really like to go on a school trip to St. Lucia so we have all written persuasive letters to Mrs Bradford trying to convince her to let us go!
St. Lucia, the facts.
We have found out loads about St. Lucia. We used our iPads to help us with research. We found out about the weather, currency, food, landscape, things to do and see, wildlife and other things.

Night time a poem by Squirrel class
Night is beautiful to see. Bursting colourful fireworks. Watching the blazing lights makes dark exciting. Night is spectacular, see the moon like a shining silver blade. See the twinkling stars, shooting across the coal black sky, whooshing like a rocket. Dark is quiet with sneaking nocturnal animals searching for their scurrying prey. Bold bright eyes and silent wings swooping through the trees. Dark is miraculous, you can see the shimmering Northern lights. Night is dangerous BE SAFE BE SEEN! Shine and reflect in the car lights. Night is busy with workers hurry to get the job done. Lorries are rolling through the sleeping towns. Night is not what you expect!!!
Night
Our mini topic for the last 2 weeks has been about night. We have thought about nocturnal animals, jobs people do at night, being safe in the dark and the moon and stars. Look out for the incredible poem we wrote as a class as everybody helped to think of ideas to put into it.
Be Safe Be Seen
Mrs K asked us to design a Hi Vis coat for Stan as his other one was dark green! That is not a very safe colour for in the dark. We used bright, reflective colours to be seen easily in car lights when he is out on his walks in the fog or the dark.
Owl Eye View
After reading The owl who was afraid of the dark we made these reflected owl eye pictures and thought about how we would describe the dark. We thought it was beautiful, wonderful, magnificent, fun and more.
Puppets
During our topic about Florence Nightingale we produced puppets designed as nurses and doctors. First we created a design, then sewed the pieces of fabric together before finally adding the details to look just like the designs.
